Privacy policy
This site is an educational project with no commercial purpose. It collects the bare minimum: no advertising, no trackers, no data resale.
Who processes your data?
The data controller is the site publisher, reachable at contact@dallvince-brewing.com (see the legal notice).
Browsing without an account
Browsing the site and playing the quizzes require no account. No personal data is collected in the process.
If you create an account

Legal basis: performance of the service you request (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Your e-mail address is used to operate your account — it is never used for any promotional mailing and is not shared with anyone.
Your e-mail address is never public
The quiz leaderboard shows an automatically generated nickname (for example “Cheerful Hops 42”), never your e-mail address or your name.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no analytics tool and no advertising cookie. Only a strictly necessary session cookie is set (keeping you signed in, form security); it is exempt from consent. Your light/dark theme preference stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Processors and recipients
Data is hosted by OVH, in France. If you choose to sign in with Google, your browser communicates directly with Google, whose privacy policy then applies; all we receive from them is your e-mail address and a technical identifier. No data is sold, nor transferred outside the European Union by us.
Retention
Your account data is kept for as long as the account exists. You can delete it yourself at any time from the “My account” page: deletion is immediate and permanent, erases your quiz results and removes you from the leaderboard.
An account left unused for 24 months is deleted automatically. A warning is e-mailed one month beforehand; simply signing in again cancels the deletion. For that sole purpose, the date of your last sign-in is stored — not your IP address, not your browser, and no behavioural tracking. Games played without an account are erased after 7 days if they are not attached to any account.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data. Exporting your data as JSON, erasing your account and changing your nickname are available directly from the “My account” page. For any other request, write to contact@dallvince-brewing.com; you will receive a reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL.
Minors
This service covers a topic related to alcoholic beverages and is not intended for children. If you hold parental authority and find that a minor has created an account, please write to us: the account will be deleted without delay.
